The Marathon- #HSXLockdownOlympics

Event Number 4 ~Thursday 7th May~

I might not be able to run 26.2 miles in 2 hours and 14 minutes like Brigid Kosgei, but I can sit in front of Netflix and watch 2 hours worth of documentaries. That’s my kind of marathon. We’ve all got to play to our strengths and whatever yours is, make sure you complete it to the best of your ability. Now, wheres that popcorn…

Swimming- #HSXLockdown Olympics

~Saturday 25th – Wednesday 29th April~

Event 2 – Well, we have had the torch relay, and now its time for some water events! It’s tough when there’s two events on, to choose which one to watch, but worry not because you can enter both! First Swimming, we all know what that is right? You can compete in freestyle, butterfly, synchro, take the high-board and if you can find one dive into a puddle. Secondly, sailing, sailing the high seas over open oceans is exactly what I’m dreaming of right now,but why dream when you can make it a reality.. We all know it’s been hot, so dress for the occasion, have fun, stay safe, and don’t forget to clean up afterwards!

please send your videos (in landscape mode!) via www.wetransfer.com to tilly.griffiths@hsx.org.uk

We would also like some videos showcasing your spectators, your supporters who are right there with you come rain or shine, handing you sliced oranges at the finish line after you smash that PB.

Cycling – #HSXLockdownOlympics

~Thursday 30th April- Monday 4th May~

Event number 3- Dust off those seats, oil up those chain, and lets get ready to ride!

Today, we are off to the velodrome, but it’s not very good for the furniture, and my mum definitely doesn’t like it if I have a bike inside. I was thinking something more like this… or maybe this. Just make sure you wear a helmet!
