Atacama Crossing

!!UPDATE!!

Follow the guys with their blog here (direct from Chris – updated live from the desert).

I’ll also try to update on their progress by posting pictures and results on this site here.

!!UPDATE!!

The Atacama Crossing is an 150 mile running race across the Atacama  Desert, Chile. The race is over six, self sufficient days in 40°C heat and at  an altitude of 4,000 metres. Time magazine listed this race as Number 2  in its list of Top 10 Endurance competitions in the world. On 6th March  2011 Richard Batstone, Chris Laws and Alan Braithwaite are going to  take part in the race whilst raising money for charity.

Details on the race can be found on the 4Deserts Website  http://www.4deserts.com/atacamacrossing

We also want to raise a bucket load of cash for Cancer Research. Entries for the total time sweepstake have closed, but you can still donate via the just giving site…

This page will tell you how

We’re also looking for team sponsorship, email us on Atacama@hsx.org.uk if you’d like to help.
