The team arrive in Malawi

Hi everyone

We arrived yesterday (monday) and have been staying at mabuya campsite in lilongwe which is very friendly ans has a great but cold pool.

we arrived at about 3 and got picked up from the airport after traveling for nearly 17 hours. we stayed in dorms and had a barbeque.

today we got an audience at the british high commission and had the luxury of using there pool and club house (apparently no one uses the pool after may as it is too cold )

We are all safe and sound and we are excited about travelling to makwawa tommorrow.

we’ll speak to you when we can

Great to hear from you all and glad all is well. Hope you get to catch up on some sleep. Most of the other Alresford & Cheriton Explorers are now en route to Flamboree. The weather is not good – think of them when you put your sun tan lotion on! Lots of love.

Just returned from a very wet week camping with the 8th Alton Scouts so it’s great to catch up with your news.

Glad to hear that you arrived safely and had the chance for a bit of relaxation before the expedition starts in earnest.

Looking forward to more news soon.

    All our love.

Glyn, Gerrard & the six Explorers in Belgium on Flamboree 09 are having a good time (weather really good) and send best wishes to Hal, David, Paul, Josh and all the rest of the exped team. 10 out of 13 A&C Explorers overseas at one time – not bad !!
